Hard on the Outside, Cuddly on the Inside

This is definitely one of the most if not most expensive vehicles the Average Joe Auto Review has ever taken a look at so in this case this vehicle is definitely more user specific. Coming in at the top of our budget at $30,500 the 2014 Ford F-150 Super Crew is definitely a truck to be impressed with!

The target market we are trying to reach out to for this review would be more so those that would ultimately use this as a work vehicle as we try to stick to reviewing vehicles that we think people would purchase as practical. Now that we have said that, take our definition of the word practical with a grain of salt because your definition of practical could mean something entirely different, besides who are we to judge?

Anyways, moving on, the 2014 Ford F-150 was definitely an impressive truck. For starters with a truck of this size it accelerated fairly easy. I felt no need to floor it to get it off the line quickly! Taking this truck through back country roads, I can tell you that the ride was a lot more smooth than I expected it to be.
This F-150 came with a V8 engine and moves with a 6 speed automatic transmission givingengine2 you plenty of power to get through the snow while also providing a surprising amount of comfort. Believe it or not, if you ignore the amount of gas a V8 engine consumes this truck wouldn’t be that bad to road trip as we fit three large guys, all over six feet tall in the backseat. Each of our guinea pigs had ample amounts of leg and elbow room. Along those same lines, this truck could comfortably take 4-5 of your coworkers out to any job site comfortably. Going further on that note, the backseats do flip up giving you roughly 3-4 feet of space to lay any large tools, boxed furniture, a pack of wolves, you name it there’s space for it!

This truck did sit a little higher so if you by chance have difficulties climbing into larger vehicles, consider having running boards added on if they aren’t there already. On that note, the clearance in this thing was great as we were forced to drive through a surprisingly deep puddle in the middle of our test drive.

pole2    To sum things up quickly, I absolutely loved this truck and I would be rather tempted to buy one granted life ever permits the necessity to make that purchase. The 2014 F-150 Super Crew thrives with a high level of durability while maintaining an exquisite level of comfort. If you are in the middle of a search for a new pickup, I would definitely consider looking at a classic.
